Alas! or Alar!

This is time for the Lamborghini fans to think and find out whether or not the company’s latest offering honors their tradition of good-looking cars. Ever since sports cars have been in existence the lambos have been famous for head turning looks and sheer performance. The latter I think may be assured, no it’s sure to be found in the company’s latest offering. But the Italian manufacturer’s cars are legendary especially in terms of looks. But I am afraid this would sure damage their reputation.

The responses to the pictures of the car have not been great. You will find either Lambo fans struggling to defend or an outright criticism. It seems they have got them disgustingly wrong. This is a re-bodied Lamborghini Diablo, called the Alar, not a handsome car to say the least. This one looks like some bug sitting on wheels. That’s a shame to the hot builders, And to its ancestor Diablo too. Lamborghini took on this project, I doubt.

Ok, let’s say there is not even a problem with modern art or odd looking prototypes or even wild ‘out of the box thinking’. But this is just disgusting. The worst of all is its nose, mainly the lower skirt that bends up and looks like some licking action. I also never liked the hood, windshield, head lights, wheels, side surface lines, rear and er what else? I lost the count. The rear looks good from an elevated view. One must be mad to buy this at about Rs. 3, 00, 00, 000. If someone does others can laugh at the loser and call up the nearest psychiatrist.

The technical specs remain unknown yet. But I can’t get their plan that too in a market where thy style matters most. I think they are trying reverse psychology. I wish this remained as a prototype alone and never comes to production. Wait! I think I found the strategy behind this. They are planning to launch it as a surprise, and they are showing us a fake picture. Whatever it is, till we get further information nothing would show a positive sign. But even after this disappointment, it is a bloody Lambo. They will be having something inside their minds and inside this one too. Till the surprise come I will keep my fingers crossed.

Anyways, till they remove this ugly jacket come back to their sexy form , Kaushik ram and me will surely have the snapshots of REVENTONNto tweak up our desktops.

Ferrari Launches Open Top Scuderia Spider To Celebrate

What better way for Ferrari to celebrate its 16th Formula One Constructors Championship win last week, but to launch the open top version of the F430 Scuderia this week. The much-awaited hot wheels, the Scuderia Spider 16M has the same features as the lightweight Scuderia coupe like the 510 hp 4.3L V8 and the 6-speed F1 paddle shift gearbox.

According to Ferrari, Scuderia Spider is apparently the fastest open top model to be ever tested by them around the Fiorano test track. And the best part is that Scuderia is 176 lbs lighter than a standard F430 spider at 2954 lbs dry. That is believed to be very good to support a sprint of 0-62 mph in 3.7 seconds with a terminal velocity of 195.7 mph.

The Scythe: Great features wasted on a giant toy car!

If someone wanted to call the Scythe a giant Hot Wheels replica, then I would have absolutely no problem endorsing that view. Despite all the hoopla around it and the amount of time, energy and money invested by the folk at GAS, this still looks like an over-grown toy car with no real look and personality. If it has any personality, then it seems more hideous than nice. The Scythe sports a handmade composite body and voice-activated on-board computer system and a twin-supercharged 1,005 horsepower engine. It even has two steering wheels and that seems to make all the wonderful features more odd.

A Personal Skycar Finally Becomes A Reality!

The world got its first personal takeoff landing (VTOL) vehicle called M400 Skycar, and the credit goes to Moller International. After all, for the first time, the concept is feasible and personally affordable. One can easily say one had the gut feeling that such a vehicle would soon reach our houses and replace the regining automobile. In the same tune frankly, Moller has not surprised any of us. But we indeed are very happy to know that a company has given us a machine that is capable of VTOL with easy maintenance, cost effectiveness and reliability.

Comparing the flying machine to top car brands like Ferrari, Porsche, Maserati and Lamborghini, the makers say that what use does the extreme aerodynamics and advanced engineering of the names listed be of any use when the speed limit is 60 mph and one is stuck in a traffic jam on a freeway?

1995 Ferrari May Fetch $300K at Bonhams Auction

All right, we know that Ferrari does not make motorbikes. But can that fact stop us from owning a Ferrari motorbike? Don’t worry, we are not talking crazy. The buzz is that a group of custom cycle makers have come up with the machine on two wheels. Yeah, we know that the Maranello-inspired two-wheeler made by Arlen Ness made a lot of news but in all honesty and fairness, the machine was not very practical. After all, wouldn’t we all like a Ferrari bike that is sporty, can be taken out on the regular roads and also sit pretty in one’s garage!

And the icing on the cake is that Ferrari too agrees. Perhaps that is why the mobike in reference bears the official Ferrari chassis number (SF-01M) and comes in the signature red we all know so well. Designed by David Kay Engineering in 1995, this mobike runs on a DOHC engine with a horsepower of 105 at 8,800rpm displacing 900 cc.

Mysterious Gleaming Merc Outside a Luxury Hotel

At a forum, we recently found a white chrome plated Mercedes Benz that almost looks like it is painted in gold. However, apart from this, not much is known about the car or why it was painted so graciously. I would say, this gleaming piece of car would attract thousands of onlookers and if you are the kind of person who would look for attention, this is just for you. Perhaps if you visit the forum again, you would get more information when the thread creator posts back. However, the one who posted the photographs did not seem to know the difference between ‘white gold’ and ‘chrome’.
